Tasting Notes
For a 0.7L bottle of 40% ABV okowita (aqua vitae), 9 bottles of American IPA beer from the inBRAND Brewery were used. The beer has 6.2% ABV and 15.2% extract. “Cold-hopped with Octavian hops. Intense, very pleasant aroma of hops, bitterness, notes of gingerbread, pumpernickel, citrus, and apples. Sweetness and bitterness on the palate, lots of grapefruit, but also plums and malt. In the finish, citrus, malt, hops, and bitterness – intensely beer-like, but also forest notes – pine needles.”

The result of collaboration with the local craft brewery inBRAND from Lublin area. Same beer, yet quite a different taste of IPA beer this time, as it was cold-hopped. Thanks to this method, the beer acquired a more intense aroma. To distill one bottle of beer brandy, we needed 9 beers.
